The studio Two cousins. One way of seeing.

Salvo and Giacomo, wedding filmmakers from Sicily.

Salvo and Giacomo, the cousins behind Cuji Art

Where we come from

We grew up together in Sicily. We still work that way.

We are cousins, with ten years of experience in wedding films behind us. Those years taught us what the work really asks of you: the rhythm of a wedding day, how to be present without being seen, and how much of a film is decided in the edit.

After ten years, we decided to found a brand of our own. Cuji Art is that studio: small, careful and ours. Every film carries our name, from the first conversation to the final grade.

How we work

Three things we never compromise on.

  1. We watch. We don’t direct.

We don’t stage your day. We look for what happens by itself, and we are ready when it does.

  2. Sound is half the film.

Vows, speeches, the voice of a parent. We record them in full, because words often carry a film further than images.

  3. Time in the edit.

Around twenty weddings a year means every film is given the time it needs, in the edit, in the colour and in the sound.

The craft

Every frame, finished by hand.

We film every wedding in 4K, in log or RAW. These flat, quiet files hold every detail of the light, from the white of the dress to the darkest corner of a chapel, so nothing is lost on the day.

The real work begins afterwards, in colour correction and grading. In DaVinci Resolve we build the colour of each film shot by shot, until skin looks like skin and the light looks the way it felt.

Before and after

The same shot, as it leaves the camera and as it reaches you.

Where we work

Based in Palermo, we film all over Sicily: from Taormina to Scopello, from the Syracuse countryside to the Trapani coast.

With our Voyage collection we travel across Italy and abroad. We work in Italian and English.
